About Us

Xpress is one of the East Coast established AAU Boys & Girls Basketball Club, focused on providing youths with competitive sports instruction, academic advisory, community awareness and business training.

Based out of Bowie Maryland but with kids from Maryland, DC, Virginia, New York, North Carolina, Georgia and elsewhere, our mission is to help kids develop in such a way that they are motivated to excel through life no matter what the obstacle.

Sports is our hook to get kids involved with our family of teams and become acclimated to our way of moving forward in life. Founded by Chris Lawson, who has worked with kids since the age of 20, he has tackled many obstacles in life from on the court to community service, business, politics and of course coaching. He wishes to see as many young adults with the opportunity to do more with their lives then what he was given.

Constantly emphasizing the importance of education, networking, family and friends, Chris states, "My goal is to get as many good people involved with us at the coaching, training and mentoring level to help prepare these kids for the next and new generation."

Xpress kids have gained recognition and observation from many college scouts for their basketball skills, and academic accomplishments. We work year round to help position our kids with preparatory schools, junior colleges, division I, II and III colleges. Much of our focus as it relates to sports is to prepare, and present our kids in the most competitive venues that provide the exposure they seek.
